Project & foundation steps for children:
Eine Initiative von Dr. Michael Hoppe |
Welcome at steps for children
The foundation steps for children in Hamburg/Germany supports children and youths in need in Africa. Our vision is the lasting self-sufficiency of these children without outside help.
HIV/Aids orphans and other socially vulnerable children are at the centre of our activities. Children are able to learn and can shape their own future. steps for children develops measures which sustainably support the education as well as the children's and youth's holistic personal development.
What is special about steps for children are the income generating units of the project (= steps) which are financially viable and additionally make a contribution to the social steps. This way the project will become independent of donations and development aid in the long run. Sustainability, help to help oneself and professionalism are most important for us.
The first project for children in Africa was initiated by Dr. Michael Hoppe in Okakarara/Namibia. In Okakarara there already exist many steps in one permanent and three mobile houses on a 1,700 m2 plot near the town centre
