Support of School Children

During the school year 2012 steps supports altogether 34 children in this social step who had visited the preschool in the previous years. Thanks to the help of many sponsors we pay the school fees for these children and provide them with the necessary books, exercise books, writing equipment and a warm meal each day in our soup kitchen.

Without our support they would not have the chance to go to school because their mothers or grandmothers lack the necessary funds. Without our support the circle would continue: no education – unemployment – alcohol – Aids.

After lessons the children supported by this step come to the project house for lunch and are taken care of by our teacher who also helps with homework in the afternoon. link

The performance of those children who went to steps for children preschool and are continuously supported by us is better than of other children in the primary school. The reports of our children show significantly better results than the class average with almost all of them.

In 2011 seven of them received a Certificate for Outstanding Achievements: Kameme, Kautjiukua, Tjandero, Mbatuminua (Grade 1), Beverly, Petronella (Grade 2) und Johanna (Grade 3). This shows: Our help makes sense!
