There are direct flights from Germany to Windhoek several times a week, with www.airberlin.de over Munich and with www.airnamibia.com from Frankfurt. In case you choose Air Namibia you can get a discount at our partner organisation Iwanowski’s Reisen www.afrika.de when you mention steps for children. There you can also get an inexpensive rental car or book your entire tour with a discount.

Public transport to Okakarara does not exist. You best go in your own car (340 km from Hosea Kutako Int. Airport, 300 km from Windhoek) which will take you between 3 and 3 ½ hours on good tarred roads.

Low budget tourists have the possibility to take a collective taxi from Windhoek City.
