Visit to the Project / Volunteering in Namibia

11.11 - 4 VolontäreIn Okakarara/Namibia steps for children is a partner organisation of the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit). In connection with the weltwärts-programme by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) we currently host 2 volunteers for a year. So our need for longterm volunteers is met until October 2012. However, application through the weltwärts-programme is possible any time: www.weltwaerts.de und http://weltwaerts.ded.de/.

In consultation with the Local Management a shorter period of volunteering could be arranged (up to 3 months) in Okakarara or Gobabis in some cases if the volunteer is knowledgeable in special fields (e.g. youth sports, tutoring, gardening, computer, sewing). In case you are interested, please, send us an e-mail with your CV and a description of your skills and why you want to come to Africa and steps.
