Chosen Location 2011

steps for children was chosen out of 2,600  contestants  and is now a  “ Chosen locality 2011” in the “Land of Ideas Competition” . Therefore the foundation is prize winner of the competition “365 Localities in the Land of Ideas”. The competition is run in conjunction with the Deutsche Bank.  Under the patronage of the president of Germany, the competition focuses on ideas and projects that help to actively form the future of Germany. As a chosen locality, steps for children is an ambassador for the Land of Ideas project in 2011 and represents the innovative potential of Germany.

In order to make its ideas clearer to the public, steps for children is organizing, on the occasion of the prize award ceremony, an event with live African music, introduction to the steps for children projects, as well as various speeches by  representatives  of the Deutsche Bank, a Board of Trustees member, a steps-ambassador and possibly Hamburg`s Economics  senator.
