In July the time had finally come and the inauguration of the "Bridge of Hope" educational project was officially celebrated. Many personalities from various ministries and educational institutions were present. The boys and girls between the ages of 1 and 15 performed small performances that had been rehearsed with the teachers for months in anticipation of the event.
Project manager Melvyrine Bock (Milly) had also invited the entire Rehoboth police force to demonstrate: We work together and do early prevention against drugs!
Committed with heart and perseverance
In every speech, Milly's social commitment, competence, determination and perseverance were mentioned. Andy Kastoor of the city administration said: "Milly is on duty every day until she has implemented her ideas."
The inauguration ceremony was organized for all donors and supporters. Our board member Festus Tjikuua was there and reported to the guests about steps for children.
Milly also emphasized the collaboration with steps in her speech and showed how the school will develop in the future through the support of steps for children.
For 5 years Milly has been coordinating the project work in Rehoboth in the two kindergartens / preschools "Heart for the Children" and "Otto Gamseb". We are looking forward to accompanying more children in Rehoboth on their educational path.
Thank you, Milly, for your tireless efforts, your class and your big heart!
