Newly renovated accommodation in Gobabis for volunteers

In May of this year, the renovation of the accommodation for our volunteers began. It took six weeks in total - and the result is impressive: in the middle of the steps site, in the building of the former computer school and carpentry workshop and opposite the multipurpose centre, a small, fine and cozy apartment has now been created at the back.

Two fully furnished single rooms are available to our volunteers – with a bathroom and a small kitchen as well as an enclosed outdoor area for sufficient privacy and security.

Of course, the former steps carpenters were involved in furnishing the apartment: beds, built-in cupboards and seating in the outdoor area were made by them and now invite you to linger.

A barbecue area and a comfortable seating area are still being built or can perhaps even be designed when the residents move in.

This newly renovated apartment is currently sublet for a limited period in order to generate the best possible income. However, it will be available as soon as new volunteers arrive.
