???? Become a junior ambassador for steps now!
At the beginning of 2025, we are pleased to invite you to the Junior Ambassador program! Whether you are already on site in Namibia or have been involved with steps for children here in Germany so far – your commitment has made a real difference and we are very grateful to you for that!
We have a Junior Ambassador Program in which you can participate through your commitment to steps for children.
How do you become a Junior Ambassador?
As a Junior Ambassador you have a term of office of one year, in which you make the commitment to implement at least two actions as a multiplier for steps for children. The mandate can of course be renewed every year. Here are a few example actions:
- PR or social media campaign: Share at least five of our posts on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram) or organize a small PR campaign to raise awareness of the situation of poor children in Namibia and our work.
- Self-organized fundraising campaign: Plan and carry out your own fundraising campaign! Whether it's a flea market, fundraising run, yoga class, cake sale or another creative idea - your commitment counts.
- An information campaign: Organize an information stand at a city festival or at the market. Contact the former school and tell them about or present your experiences with steps for children or organize a fundraising run and inform the participants about the purpose of the donation.
Once you have successfully completed these actions, you will receive an official Junior Ambassador certificate and will listed as a Junior Ambassador on the steps for children website.
Your commitment and the certificate can of course also be listed in your CV, shared in your Instagram bio or on LinkedIn, thus making your social commitment visible. It is a great opportunity to expand on previous experiences and inspire others through your connection with steps for children.
Why should you participate?
🌱The necessity
As you may have read in the news, the southern African region is affected by a historic drought, which according to the United Nations has triggered the most serious hunger crisis in decades. With steps for children, we want to respond effectively to the current situation and expand our soup kitchens, so that in the future even more people - even outside of the steps educational institutions - will have access to food! In order to realize this project, we urgently need new supporters. As a steps Junior Ambassador, you can make a huge contribution to making the situation of the people in Namibia and Zimbabwe visible and to making potential new donors aware of steps.
🚀Your skills
As a Junior Ambassador, you make an important contribution to positively influencing the future of children in Namibia. At the same time, you have the opportunity to gain new experience in socially responsible project management and as a fundraiser, to expand your own networks and to make your commitment to social projects visible. With your own creative ideas, you can help shape the work of steps.
🧑🤝🧑Community
You can network with the junior ambassadors from the current program and get to know people who have been involved with steps before or after you. During the program, you will find out where former steps volosts are working today and what things are currently like in Gobabis and Okakarara. There will be a joint video call with all participants at the start. Of course, you can also plan and carry out the activities together with friends, who can then also take part in the steps for children Junior Ambassador program.
We will be at your side with advice and assistance throughout the program and will support you in the implementation of your actions.
