Little guardian angels from Hamburg
The School at the garden city, an elementary school in the Wandsbek district of Hamburg, is committed: Many pupils* in the first and third grades become little guardian angels!
The school at the Gartenstadt in Hamburg has been a great help for our guardian angel children over the past year. We were very pleased that the pupils of the first and third grades supported our guardian angel children through a variety of activities throughout the year until December - even though they are almost the same age!
Markus Fink, teacher of 1c and initiator of the guardian angel campaign, has already been to our facilities and got to know the guardian angel children in Okakarara - he can tell his class a lot. It is not the first time that the children at the garden city school are involved in steps! Take a look at the other campaigns that students and teachers have worked out together for the benefit of guardian angel children:
Together for guardian angel children
Together, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e and 3d and 3e collected the donations through several campaigns. There was a Christmas market in mid-December that the 3e organized. Punch and homemade biscuits were sold to students and teachers. The students thought about it and announced this campaign in advance with self-made posters and an e-mail. On a cold, gray December day in the playground, the children and teachers then enjoyed a warm punch.
Class 3d carried out a class-internal picture sales campaign in November for the benefit of the steps guardian angel children. In addition, some teachers at the Gartenstadt school donated together for guardian angel children and the school received further donations in favor of the steps guardian angel children from parents in the first grades.
This means that six classes at the Gartenstadt school are guardian angels for two of our guardian angel children in Namibia, and some teachers have donated for another guardian angel child.
Dear Garden City School,
dear class 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 3d and 3e, dear teachers, dear parents!
On behalf of the guardian angel children from Namibia, we thank you very much for your incredibly valuable and loving commitment. It is with so much joy that we receive your support. We wish you a lot of success on your further educational path!
