Hella Krummbach and Miriam Kleinke from the Dresden area are involved in our projects in Rehoboth for the first time for three months as young volunteers this year. The 6-year-old children at "Otto Gamseb" were thrilled: there was something new to discover with them every day. They got to know the diversity of the animal kingdom, the colors and the numbers for two weeks. They played great animal games in physical education and made beautiful masks in art.

In addition, Hella and Miriam took care of the guardian angel children and loosened up the tutoring lessons from Eveline Boois with small play units.
In October the two volunteers switched to our partner project "Heart for the children". Here they met Magdalena Schulz, called Oma Schulz - a teacher like no other. She impresses them both because she has built up a deep connection with her students and does a wonderful job: Mrs. Schultz organizes and plans her school hours in advance and prepares the teaching topics for children. For each child, she creates her own workbook with individual tasks and gives the days a structure.
Our national coordinator, Peik Bruhns, is also enthusiastic about Grandma Schultz: “She is a phenomenal teacher and her heart is in the right place. There are very few KhoiKhoiGowab teachers who are so experienced and valuable. ”
