Peter Wackel ...

... was with the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP on discovery and charity tour in Namibia and met his new sponsored project: A new school building with 2 classrooms for afternoon classes ILENI TULIKWAFENI!

The German pop star and self-confessed fan of Namibia Peter Wackel started a real discovery tour in January. While passing through, he has the partner project of steps for children in Okahandja, near the main road to Swakopmund, seen by chance and visited it spontaneously. He co-finances there FLY & HELP the construction of the new Peter Wackel school building with two classrooms for another 50 students from the Five Rand Settlement, one of the poorest areas in Namibia.

For usage The following educational measures are planned for the building:
morning: Lessons for preschool children from the ILENI TULIKWAFENI Community Center
Nachmittags: Homework support for students in the Community Center ILENI TULIKWAFENI
in the evening: Continuing education courses for adults without a school leaving certificate from the Informal Settlement Five Rand

And not only the construction with storage room and sanitary wing, but also the equipment with school furniture are financed by him. In the photo you can see Ulrike Mai, National Coordinator of for children acts in Namibia, together with Peter Wackel in Windhoek:

“For someone who, like me, can lead a privileged life, it fills me with pride to be able to give back part of this project. I am happy to not only support this project once but also to come back very often. "

Dear Peter, the steps for children foundation would like to thank you and the Reiner Meutsch FLY & HELP foundation on behalf of the steps children and young people and the entire steps team for your great support!
