Im letzten Trimester des Schuljahres unterst\u00fctzen sie das Lehrerteam tatkr\u00e4ftig und in ihrem Bericht wird deutlich, mit wie viel Herz und Spa\u00df sie bei der Sache sind:<\/p>\n<p>\u201eBei dem Endspurt unterst\u00fctzen wir die Lehrer, indem wir kleine Lerngruppen von 5-10 Sch\u00fclern aus den Klassen herausnehmen und mit ihnen zus\u00e4tzliche \u00dcbungen machen. Wir vertiefen Lesen, Schreiben und Rechnen durch verschiedene Spiele und Materialien. Die Kinder fordern uns dazu heraus, den Unterricht vielf\u00e4ltig zu gestalten und nicht allzu selten kommt es vor, dass wir Spiele aus unserer Kindheit wieder entdecken. Spiele wie Paradiesh\u00fcpfen, \u201eWer hat Angst vorm schwarzen Mann\u201c, wir haben das dann mal umbenannt in \u201eWho is afraid of the Marshmallowman\u201c ;), und W\u00f6rter angeln, spielen die Kinder hier sehr gern. Womit wir bei den Kindern immer gut ankommen sind Buntstifte, denn sie Malen f\u00fcr ihr Leben gerne, au\u00dferdem sind Basteleien aller Art immer willkommen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/SDC11105.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5976 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/SDC11105.jpg\" alt=\"SDC11105\" width=\"1075\" height=\"605\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nach dem gemeinsamen Mittagessen kommen die Afternoon-Kids, Sch\u00fcler von den umliegenden Schulen, die hier Hausaufgabenhilfe und Essen erhalten. Folgende Szenen erleben wir t\u00e4glich: \u201eDo your homework\u201c &#8211; \u201eI don\u00b4t have\u201c oder \u201eCan you show me your exercise book.\u201c &#8211; \u201eI don\u00b4t have.\u201c Weil wir auf diese Situationen eingestellt sind, haben wir zus\u00e4tzliche Aufgaben vorbereitet. Nach einer Stunde harter Arbeit haben sich alle Kinder das Mittagessen verdient.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/P1020087.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5971\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/P1020087-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"P1020087\" width=\"350\" height=\"262\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/P1020128.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5972\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/P1020128-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"P1020128\" width=\"350\" height=\"263\" \/><\/a>Nach der Afternoonclass wird dienstags geklickt, und zwar nicht am Computer, sondern im Damara-Anf\u00e4ngerkurs f\u00fcr steps-Volunt\u00e4rinnen bei Mrs. Santiago. Erste Stunde, vier Klicklaute der Khoekhoegowab-Sprache, wir sind gescheitert, hatten aber trotzdem eine Menge Spa\u00df. W\u00e4hrenddessen wurden wir beobachtet und mussten schon viel Spott und Hohn \u00fcber uns ergehen lassen. Nichts desto trotz lassen wir uns nicht unterkriegen, denn nur so k\u00f6nnen wir besser mit den Kids kommunizieren. The following scenes are living proof: &#8222;. I don&#8217;t have&#8220; &#8222;Do your homework&#8220; &#8211; &#8211; &#8222;I don&#8217;t have&#8220; or &#8222;.
