Goodbye Okahandja Samaritans \u2013 hello \u201eIleni Tulikwafeni \u2013 House of hope and trust\u201c.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After six years of working together with the cooperation partner <em>Okahandja Samaritans<\/em> we are now parting ways. The Samaritans will continue to run their small project and are grateful for the support provided by steps for children. However, we have different ideas about how a partnership should work and are therefore going our separate ways again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We will nevertheless retain Okahandja as a project location:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-11005 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ORG_DSC00656-1150x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1060\" height=\"708\" \/>Together with the highly committed founder Meme Kauna of the project <strong>\u201eIleni Tulikwafeni\u201d<\/strong> we are planning the next project cooperation. <strong>The project name means: \u201eCome everyone, let\u2019s work together\u201c<\/strong>. An invitation that steps for children is happy to accept. As early as November 2018, Michael Hoppe met Meme Kauna and her husband Joseph during his project trip to look at the project. In a kindergarten and a pre-school, between 60 and 70 children are cared for. The soup kitchen even feeds over 300 children in the surrounding area and always receives fresh vegetables from the associated garden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">There was also an afternoon care service for up to 100 children in the past, but this could not be maintained due to a lack of financial resources.
