Peter Wackel and Steps for Children<\/h2>\n

Peter Wackel<\/strong> was with the Reiner Meutsch Stiftung FLY & HELP<\/strong> on a discovery and charity tour in Namibia. There he also came across his new sponsored project: A new school building with 2 classrooms for afternoon lessons at<\/strong> ILENI TULIKWAFENI<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The German pop star and avowed Namibia fan Peter Wackel<\/strong> set off on a real discovery tour in January. While passing through, he spotted the partner project of steps for children in Okahandja<\/a>\u00a0by chance and visited it spontaneously. Together with FLY & HELP<\/strong><\/a> he is financing the construction of the new Peter Wackel school building with two classrooms for another 50 pupils from the Five Rand Settlement, one of the poorest areas in Namibia.<\/p>\n

The following educational measures are planned for use of the building:<\/h4>\n

mornings<\/strong>: lessons for pre-school children from the community centre ILENI TULIKWAFENI
\nafternoons<\/strong>: homework support for pupils in the community centre\u00a0ILENI TULIKWAFENI
\nevenings<\/strong>: further education courses for adults without a school leaving certificate from the informal settlement Five Rand<\/p>\n

And not only the construction with storage room and sanitary block, but also the furnishing with school furniture is being financed by him. In the photo you can see Ulrike Mai, National Coordinator of steps for children<\/strong>\u00a0in Namibia,\u00a0together with Peter Wackel in Windhoek:<\/p>\n
