Anyone supporting a non-profit organisation wants to be sure that the support reaches where it is needed and has a lasting impact.<\/p>\n<p>We are aware of this responsibility \u2013 towards our donors as well as towards the children, families and communities in Namibia. Transparency and openness are therefore integral parts of our work. We want to show in a clear and understandable way how we work, what goals we pursue and how donation funds are used.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-daf7303 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"daf7303\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How donation funds are used<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-72e0660 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"72e0660\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Trust is created when it is clear how support makes a difference. That is why we explain how donation funds are used and which measures they make possible.<\/p><p><strong>82.2 per cent of our funds go directly into our educational institutions and nutrition initiatives in Namibia.<\/strong> These include, among other things:<\/p><ul><li>early childhood education programmes<\/li><li>support for schools and children<\/li><li>nutrition programmes<\/li><li>promoting training and future prospects<\/li><\/ul><p>The remaining share is used for administration, communication and fundraising and creates the organisational foundations that allow measures to be planned, implemented and financed over the long term.<\/p><p>We publish detailed information on the use of funds and our finances annually in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepsforchildren.de\/en\/downloads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Annual report<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-384a1bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"384a1bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Verified transparency and clear standards\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ffc0074 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ffc0074\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>For us, transparency means not only reporting on our work, but also adhering to binding standards.<\/p><p>Therefore, steps for children is part of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.transparente-zivilgesellschaft.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft (ITZ)<\/a>. By signing the self-commitment, we are committed to making important information about our organisation publicly accessible.<\/p><p>This includes, among other things, details about our constitution, our decision-making structures, the people responsible, as well as the origin and use of funds.<\/p><p>This means that anyone interested can find out about our work and understand the structures of our foundation. This direct exchange creates understanding and shows what development cooperation looks like in practice.
