Dear steps friends,
News came yesterday that Namibia is banning entry to and from Germany (and other countries) after two Spanish tourists infected with Covid 19 have been identified. The Namibian government is reacting very aggressively and quickly and can hopefully slow down or even curb further expansion.

Shortly afterwards came the news that all schools and kindergartens had to be closed too.
This will also bring school operations to a standstill in our projects.

Considerations are now being made on how to provide food for at least the poorest of the poor without infecting employees or spreading the virus among children.

Due to the corona virus my trip to Namibia planned for next week is also canceled. With that, I am certainly able to anticipate a longer unwanted stay. As soon as we have more information from the projects, we will keep you informed.

I wish all of us that we can get through this unprecedented crisis healthy and well.
