Das Jahr unserer weltwärts-Volontärinnen Katharina und Sophia in Okakarara ging letzte Woche zu Ende. Doch vor ihrer Abreise haben sie den Kindern noch ein wunderbares Geschenk gemacht:
„Wir haben Ende Juli endlich unseren Plan umgesetzt, unsere vom Spenderkreis übrigen Spenden sinnvoll ins Projekt zu investieren. Das Geld für die neue Weichbodenmatte kam also von Firmen, Bekannten und Familien zuhause. Die Matte haben wir super erfolgreich in den Parcours im Sportunterricht integriert und uns bei jedem lachenden Kind doppelt gefreut, weil wir dazu in gewissem Maße selber beigetragen haben.

Die Kids haben fleißig Purzelbäume gemacht, sich über die Matte gerollt, sind auf der Matte herumgesprungen und in hohem Bogen runtergehüpft und haben dagegen gekickt. Auch für die Nachmittagskids haben wir die Matte rausgeholt und auch die haben sich mit Saltos, Purzelbäumen und Rumhüpfen ausgetobt. Vor allem die Jungs sich enorm, als wir die Matte an die Wand gestellt haben und sie zehn Minuten munter drauflosboxen durften. Und als sich am Ende sogar zwei anfangs skeptische Lehrerinnen mit Anlauf auf die Matte geworfen haben, war sie endlich vollends akzeptiert!“

The kids have made diligent somersaults, curled on the mat, are jumping around on the mat and down hopped in a high arc and have kicked against it. For the afternoon we have kids the mat taken out and also ran riot with somersaults, somersaults and rumhüpfen.
