Join us as we present the latest developments and news from steps! We cordially invite you to the general meeting of the Friends of Steps for Children e.V. association. An event that, as every year, we also open to guests and interested parties who would like to experience or get to know steps in person: On Thursday, 4 December 2025 at 6 pm at the Rudolf Steiner House at Mittelweg 11-12 in 20148 Hamburg.

A special evening awaits:

We will show a short film about the agricultural project in Ongombombonde and a former volunteer as well as an ambassador couple will report on their experiences in Okakarara. In addition, I will give an overview of current progress and challenges at our locations in Namibia and Zimbabwe. Before and after the event, we warmly invite you to a get-together - a wonderful opportunity to talk to one another, exchange ideas and get to know our work even better.

The steps for children foundation was established in Hamburg in 2005 by Dr Michael Hoppe. It is now active in eight locations in Namibia and Zimbabwe, where it is committed to improving educational opportunities for girls and boys from poor neighbourhoods. Over 2,000 children can take part in education and have a warm meal every day at steps and its partner projects.
We would also like to point out that in order to save personnel and resources, which we would like to use in Namibia, we will issue and send you the donation receipts in the first quarter of the following year. For donations of up to EUR 300.00, the corresponding bank statement can also be submitted to the tax office as simplified proof of donation. If a donation receipt is required earlier, please send an enquiry to info@stepsforchildren.de send.
