At the guesthouse in Okakarara too, our „temporary caretaker“, Michael Steinbach, is busy at work. He writes in the second part of his report about what new additions the guesthouse has gained thanks to his help:

Next door in the steps office building, a lot of remodelling is currently under way: among other things, this has given the maintenance team the „big order“ of enlarging the canopy, whose purpose of providing shade is proving a blessing in the current heat. This also means the building heats up less. Said and done. Two oil-soaked posts – the oil helps prevent termite infestation – are still in the stock, but the construction timber is no longer sufficient and has to be ordered together with the roof sheets from the local building materials dealer. It is practical that there is a small tool shed here at steps, where my predecessors have already accumulated a small DIY-store assortment.
