It is becoming increasingly clear how worthwhile investments in guest houses are. Looking back at June, there is good news from the guest house in Okakarara: with an occupancy rate of just under 50%, we had an above-average number of bookings. This surplus particularly benefits the children in our preschool.

Booked were Namibian Vocational Training Assessors (vocational school teachers), who examined the graduates at the OVTC in Okakarara, as well as, as always, business travellers from local companies (NamPost, Cenored electricity provider, etc.) and authorities. At the weekend, a few private individuals were also in town for weddings, funerals and the like.

We hope to be able to accommodate as many guests in the future too, perhaps also tourists in transit, so that we can help finance the project as well as possible.
We also receive a lot of income for the preschool and soup kitchen in Gobabis through our guest house. By law, we are currently required to build a dining room and reception area. These measures enhance the guest house overall and make the stay for our guests even more pleasant, so that we can also achieve the best possible income for our social projects at this location.
