Our long-standing supporter Birgit Eckert, educator at Kita Himmelblau, was asked by Pastor Peter Fahr of Cantate Church Duvenstedt to speak about her volunteer work under the motto „Live. Love. Laugh.“. Birgit presented steps for children and her work in Okakarara 2015 in words and pictures on Saturday evening and was asked again on Sunday during the service to speak from the pulpit in front of 200 listeners about steps.
The pastor encouraged the congregation to donate for youth and elderly work as well as for the children in the steps projects. As a result, the steps donation tin was also filled during the weekend of 17/18 September for the Long Night of Churches.
