Our garden in Ongonbombonde near Okakarara (Namibia) is growing and thriving wonderfully. The first hot chillies were already laid out in the sun to dry shortly after harvesting. The newly planted aubergines are also a great success and sell very well in Otjiwarongo. Even the Herero like them.

Meanwhile, baby spinach, chard, onions, tomatoes, parsley and quite a few other crops are growing splendidly.

Only a few days ago, the new chicken coop for approx. 200 chickens was completed. The eggs and meat from the chicken coop are to be offered for sale.

The existing vegetable garden with a total of 2 hectares of cultivated land is very productive and is now to be further expanded. By establishing a steps for children tree nursery, the demand for seedlings of deciduous and fruit trees is to be met, coming mainly from private customers and companies, but also from the Namibian state. With this additional income-generating step, we want to ensure the children’s nutrition and healthcare as well as their care and education in the projects in the long term.
