Continuing professional development for preschool teachers

[:en]

During the December holidays, the three pre-school teachers from steps for children – Johanniter PrePrimary School took part in a 5-day training course by AMOS-NAMIBIA in Grootfontein. 19 participants learned how to set up a classroom and how to teach creatively and effectively with little material, as well as inspire children to learn something new. Each participant also received a large box of teaching materials and had to give a presentation on a specific topic. During the upcoming May holidays, the three teachers will take part in a follow-up course.

371 The three teachers Agnes Naibas, Desiree Shunyuuni and Selma Mukuve would like to thank steps for children and its donors sincerely for making this course possible for them and, through the training provided, enabling a future for themselves and their families.
