We are very pleased that the Children's Council of the BürgerStiftung Hamburg approved steps for children funding for the construction of a playground for our cooperation project „Otto Gamseb“ in Rehoboth/Namibia.
The BürgerStiftung Hamburg and the children's aid organisation Children for a Better World e.V. aim, together with young people, to improve the situation of children and young people. Participation and decision-making are an important part of the concept. Accordingly, the children not only discuss topics such as violence, discrimination and poverty, but they themselves decide which projects the available funding should go to. Steps for children is very grateful for this financial support and was therefore able to realise the construction of two swings and a slide. The children gratefully accept the play equipment – there is no fun without queueing.
