Together with Stefan Schultheiss (National Coordinator) and Melvyrine Bock (coordinator for the projects in Rehoboth) we discussed, during my project visit to Rehoboth, with the head of our partner project Otto Gamseb further cooperation.

Since the beginning of our support in 2013, a great deal has changed for the project: for one, all children now receive regular meals in the soup kitchen, which can mainly be financed through the income from the steps rental flats. Through the decision of the Children's Advisory Board Hamburg and the donation from Children for a Better World e.V. a new playground was built, and five former preschool children have been in our Guardian Angel programme since January and are continuing to be supported by steps for children on their educational path. For this, we have hired a teacher for afternoon supervision at Otto Gamseb who helps with homework. For the training of all the teachers, Sonja Schneider-Waterberg (project manager in Okakarara) and Sabine Bohlen-Roß (primary school teacher and educational consultant from Hamburg) were in Rehoboth for a week in March 2015.
And our support continues: as soon as we have raised enough donations, this project too is to receive a new school building with two additional classrooms. By constructing a new building, up to 100 children in total can be supported under better learning conditions.
Yours Michael Hoppe

Since our support began in 2013 has for the project much changed: the one now all children receive regular meals in the soup kitchen, which can be mainly financed from the proceeds of the steps-rent. By the decision of the Children Advisory Board Hamburg and the donation of Children for a better World e.V. a new playground was built, and five former pre-school children are, since January in our Guardian Angel program and will continue to be accompanied by steps for children during their education. We have a teacher for afternoon care at Otto Gamseb set that helps with homework.
And our support continues: Once we have raised enough funds this project is to get a new school building with two additional classrooms. Through the construction of a new building up to 100 children can be promoted under total better learning conditions.
