The best idea will win €50,000. The 1st prize would beliya including support for the construction of the new school building of our cooperation project “Otto Gamseb” in Rehoboth.
Since 2013, beliya has been a sponsoring partner of the steps for children Foundation and, with its philosophy of corporate social responsibility, has supported our projects in Namibia. Together, we enable children in need to have better educational opportunities for a life beyond poverty and hopelessness. beliya supports children from slums throughout their education with a portion of its income from high-quality designer bags.
The young successful company has made it into the 10 nominees for the Darboven IDEE sponsorship award, which has been awarded in Hamburg since 1997. The degree of innovation of the business idea, particularly in the social sector, the viable business concept, the founders’ personal commitment, and the number of new jobs created or expected are assessed.
A total of 5 female applicants have the opportunity to present themselves and their business idea in person to the jury. A place in the final round, which will take place on 4 November, will be awarded through a public vote in cooperation with brigitte.de. To this end, the 10 applications selected by the jury will be presented in abbreviated form.
