The best idea will win €50,000. The 1st prize would beliya among other things support the construction of the new school building of our cooperative project „Otto Gamseb“ in Rehoboth.
Since 2013, beliya Sponsoring partner of the steps for children foundation and, with its philosophy of social entrepreneurial responsibility, supports our projects in Namibia. Together, we enable children in need to have better educational prospects for a life beyond poverty and hopelessness. beliya supports children from disadvantaged areas on their educational journey with part of its income from high-quality designer bags.
The young successful company has made it into the top 10 nominees for the Darboven IDEE Förderpreis, which has been awarded in Hamburg since 1997. The judging criteria are the degree of innovation of the business idea, especially in the social sector, the viable business concept, the personal commitment of the founders, and the number of new jobs created or expected to be created.
In total, 5 applicants will have the opportunity to present themselves and their business idea in person to the jury. A place in the final round, which takes place on 4 November, will be awarded by a public vote in cooperation with brigitte.de. For this purpose, the 10 applications selected by the jury will be presented in brief.
