Since mid-February, our steps office has once again been greatly enriched by an intern – here she introduces herself:

Hi, my name is Abigail Edele and I started my internship at the steps for children foundation in mid-February 2017. I’m looking forward to supporting the team over the next two months with its varied tasks.

I am currently studying Political Science in my 5th semester at the University of Bremen and volunteer with the University and Working Group UNICEF in Bremen.

My interests lie mainly in the areas of development cooperation, integration and human rights. I am very pleased that, at the steps for children foundation, I have the opportunity to gain an impression of how an NGO works and to contribute actively as well.

 

But the foundation is best explained with a poem:

 

The children’s smile

comes first here!

 

Joy, fun and hope

is not the last thing that defines the foundation.

 

Yes! The children’s smile comes first!

For the will, confidence, joy and cohesion

– are what make sure everyone is involved with heart and soul.

 

A huge thank you to the donors and all the staff, young and old,

they bring a little bit of home here.

Hey, my name is Abigail Elegant and I mid February 2017 started my internship at the foundation steps for children. I look forward to supporting the team in the next two months in its diverse activities.

I’m currently studying political science in 5th semester at the University of Bremen and am an honorary capacity in higher education and workgroup UNICEF in Bremen.

My interests lie mainly in the fields of development cooperation, integration and human rights. I am delighted that I have the opportunity at the foundation steps for children, myself to gain an impression of the operation of an NGO and also participates actively.

 

But the best way to explain the Foundation with a poem:

 

The smiles of the children

is here at the top!

 

The joy, the fun and the hope

Is not the last, what makes the foundation.

 

Yes! The smiles of the children is the top priority!

For the will, the confidence, the joy and the cohesion

– Make it that all are with heart and soul.

 

A big thanks to the donors and to all employees of large to small,

they bring in a bit of home.
