Numerous passionate golfers and beginners gathered at the invitation of wph Wohnbau und Projektentwicklung Hamburg GmbH on 07/09/2017 for the charity golf tournament in aid of steps for children at Golfclub Weidenhof in Pinneberg. For Simon Vollmer, Managing Director of wph Wohnbau und Projektentwicklung Hamburg GmbH in its second generation, helping children in need is a matter close to his heart. The company therefore arranged various activities in collaboration with numerous generous sponsors, to support our steps projects in Namibia.
The sporting ambition caught not only the golf professionals, but also the players in the taster course. With the help of a golf instructor, they were able to practise their tee shots. Foundation founder Michael Hoppe, who later provided some information about the projects in Namibia, also swung a golf club. In the final tournament, the golfers could win a handicap course at Golf Gut Glinde. In addition to the spirited drives for a good cause, the guests could look forward to a raffle with high-quality prizes as well as a silent auction, in which two works by the artist Jeannine Platz were auctioned off.

The total proceeds from the charity golf tournament event, amounting to a five-figure sum, went to our foundation. We would like to thank wph, our long-standing supporter, and all the sponsors for their outstanding commitment. The event was excellently organised and gave everyone involved great pleasure. The commitment to steps for children was given a wonderful setting
