Stormy Days in the Vegetable Garden
Despite everything, things are happening in the projects: In our vegetable garden in Ongombombonde, there is still plenty to do for all employees, and the vegetables that were sown are growing and thriving. However, during the stormy days of the past few days, the tarpaulin of the large greenhouse was partially blown off. The biggest challenge now is to pull the tarpaulin back over the framework. Fortunately, the material appears to be undamaged and “merely” needs to be screwed back on – no easy task, as the framework is high and the ladder has to be very long.
In Okakarara, a quick solution is being sought to screw the tarpaulin back onto the framework as soon as possible.
The green pepper has been affected here and now has to get by without protection for a few days.
The vegetable garden is always happy to receive seeds and fertilizer so that it can continue to contribute to the healthy diet of our steps children and young people.
