A Namibia fan from Hamburg

A Namibia fan from Hamburg

Some of you may be wondering - what is Tracks4Africa? There is a forum on the Internet, namibia-forum.ch, which deals with Namibia, southern Africa and travelling there. This forum is particularly popular with Namibia fans. One member has also found his way to us - Tews Koll. He is a big Namibia fan and became aware of us through the Hamburg volunteer fair Aktivoli. Tews has now been involved with steps for children for more than 2 years. Unfortunately, he has not yet had the opportunity to visit our projects and participate in our work. Guest houses but that is at the top of his next holiday destination.

Kellinghusen is not just an underground station in Hamburg

Back to Tracks4Africa... The initiators of the forum, now based in Kellinghusen in Schleswig-Holstein, organise a presence event once a year near Hamburg. Here they also provide foundations and other organisations with a small area to present themselves. So steps for children was also represented there by Tews.

This year, he held many discussions with interested parties and not only was he able to give away sewing products from our steps sewing room in return for a donation, but he also managed to sell items of Namibian origin from his own stock, such as wooden plates, drums, figures, carvings and other artefacts, in return for a donation in favour of steps for children. This raised a three-figure sum.

Dear Tews, on behalf of the entire steps Community and all the local children, we thank you very much for your commitment. We look forward to you visiting our steps projects in person soon.
