On 6 March 2018, the honorary board members Ute Pichorner, Guy Loretan, Christoph Möller and Michael Hoppe met for the annual board meeting of the Schweitzer steps for children foundation.
Chairwoman Ute Pichorner opened the meeting and went into detail about a number of campaigns in 2017. For example, two golf tournaments and a secret dinner, together with several corporate donations, meant that the previous year's amount was topped in 2017, which was then transferred to the German steps for children foundation.
Christoph Möller, the Board member responsible for finance, commented on the balance sheet, which shows an excellent result for 2017. Guy Loretan and his Swiss colleagues on the Board outlined the events planned for 2018, the donations from which will continue to support the projects in Namibia with such financial strength. Michael Hoppe thanked his Swiss colleagues for their enormous commitment and emphasised the importance of their contribution to the success of the projects in Namibia.
