Thanks to a generous donation from Holland, we were able to offer our two project partners Heart for the Children and Otto Gamseb each handed over a solar oven. The staff and children are looking forward to trying out the various dishes with the ovens.
The production and sale of solar ovens from our carpentry workshop in Gobabis creates important jobs. The income from sales will make a significant contribution to financing the preschool and soup kitchen.
With the help of donations, we would like to provide all our project partners with solar ovens. On the other hand, we want to give our four steps homes families and other people in the poor neighbourhoods the opportunity to earn a small income by cooking and selling food. By preparing the meals in the solar oven, the natural resource of firewood can be dispensed with. This reduces the cost of procuring wood and protects the environment.
