Leadership with heart, insight and 20 years of experience
Sonja Schneider-Waterberg: How strategic leadership on the ground secures sustainable prospects for Namibia's children.
Change needs structure, but above all consistency. For 20 years, Sonja Schneider-Waterberg has been committed to Namibia and today, as National Coordinator, bears overall responsibility for the success of our projects. Her goal is to strengthen and empower the teams on the ground so that genuine independence can emerge. With strategic foresight and deep local roots, she ensures that donations go exactly where they have the greatest impact – for a future on its own feet.
Approachable and right on site
This video shows Sonja during one of her regular visits to Gobabis, engaging playfully with the children. For Sonja, this direct contact is an important part of ensuring the quality of our work every day.

The nutrition campaign:
Over 2,000 meals every day
Help in a targeted way with your donation where it is needed most urgently.
As National Coordinator, Sonja knows exactly: education is not possible without the right nutritional foundation. That is why she tirelessly champions the expansion of our soup kitchens, the upkeep of the vegetable garden and accompanying hygiene measures. Under her leadership, we coordinate the daily, healthy provision of well over 2,000 children at all our locations.
With your donation, you directly support Sonja's work on site and help us maintain these vital and reliable structures without interruption, even in times of crisis.
In Namibia for 20 years now
