We celebrate 25 years of German-Namibian relations

On 3 December 2014, the steps for children foundation held a panel discussion together with the TU Harburg on the topic of „25 years of German-Namibian relations - looking back and looking ahead to German development cooperation in Africa“. More than 150 guests took part. The panellists included Judith Schwethelm, Country Desk Officer for Namibia, from the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Namibia, who attended the event on behalf of Ambassador Neville Gertze and gave the Ambassador's welcome address, Ministerial Councillor Peter Webers from the Ministry of Education and Research, the Hamburg actor Jasper Vogt and Michael Hoppe, who presented the work of our foundation in Namibia. Prof Dr Cornelius Herstatt from the TU Harburg moderated the event.

Angelina Akpovo and band provided fiery African sounds. Culinary African specialities were prepared by the African students of the TU Harburg. It was an all-round successful evening that we will remember for a long time to come. We are delighted that some of our guests enthusiastically donated to our work on the spot. A big thank you goes to the TU Harburg for the perfect organisation!

The foundation steps for children led together with the TU Harburg on 03 December 2014 Panel discussion on „25 Years of German-Namibian relations - Review and Outlook for German development cooperation in Africa“ by. More than 150 guests attended. Among the panel members included, among others Judith Schwethelm, Desk Officer for Namibia, from the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Namibia, who attended on behalf of Ambassador Neville Gertze in the event and recited the greeting from the Ambassador, Councilor Peter Webers by the Ministry of Education and research, the Hamburg actor Jasper Vogt and Michael Hoppe, who presented the work of our Foundation in Namibia.
