In 2025, numerous committed people continue to show how diverse and creative support for steps for children can be. Whether through sporting challenges, musical projects, regular yoga sessions or personal initiatives - activities are being organised everywhere to open up new opportunities for children and young people in Namibia. Each of these activities combines joy, community and the desire to make a meaningful difference. On this page we present some of these inspiring commitments and say from the bottom of our hearts: Thank you to everyone who supports steps for children with so much energy and heart.
Golf tournament for steps
Achieving great things with commitment - this was impressively demonstrated by the 9th charity golf tournament organised by wph Wohnbau und Projektentwicklung Hamburg: a large five-figure sum was once again raised this year and will go directly towards our educational and nutritional programmes for children and young people in Namibia and Zimbabwe. The combination of sporting ambition, enthusiasm and a sense of social responsibility made this day special for all participants.
Many thanks to Simon Vollmer, Oliver Seitner and Elena Senger for the wonderful organisation of the golf tournament, to their partner companies and sponsors and to all participants for their generous support!
Charity Yoga
A wonderful example of combining commitment and activity - Birgit makes a valuable contribution with every yoga class! We are delighted to present a very special offer to you here: „Yoga for Namibia“. With this weekly online yoga course, Birgit Janssen and her course participants support the children and young people of steps for children in Namibia.
Because 50% of the proceeds from the course will be donated to steps for children to positively influence the future of children in Namibia. Yoga for a good cause - a wonderful opportunity to do something good for yourself and help at the same time. Perhaps you would like to join us? Then write us a message!
Dear Birgit, thank you very much for your support and we are delighted that you are committed to steps for children together with your course participants.
Songs that mean the world!
Singer-songwriter Stefan Voss dedicates an entire playlist on Spotify to the steps children in Namibia and donates all proceeds from the streaming service to steps for children. Thanks to an incredible number of listeners who play the playlist in a continuous loop, Stefan regularly manages to donate a three-digit amount to steps. That's incredible, isn't it? We are delighted to have you listeners and you, dear Stefan, at our side.
Here you get to the Playlist for a good cause:
Dear Stefan, dear co-creators of this playlist, thank you very much for the initiative and the creative way of supporting steps children sustainably and continuously.
Fund Racing
Active in sport for a better future! Ronny, Markus and Mandy, who have put all their energy into steps for children in 2025, are looking forward to your support. Whether at the Mountain Bike Cup Buchholz, the Bibermann Triathlon Bleckede or the Ötztal Cycle Marathon - every kilometre counts! Talk to us if you would also like to wear the steps jersey. Here you can support their fundraising campaign:
Dear Mandy, dear Markus and dear Ronny, we are very happy that you take us on every cycling adventure with the steps jersey and are now even allowed to report on your commitment in a podcast! Thank you for your commitment!
Cycling Event
The indoor cycling events in December, January and again in October 2025 were a great success. Over 30 dedicated participants from the Meridian Spa in Hamburg Wandsbek took part in the events for our guardian angel children and raised impressive donations. The atmosphere was full of energy, solidarity and genuine enthusiasm.
A big thank you to all the athletes, to Ole Piepgras and Josi Külz and to all the supporters who made these activities possible.
The hajoona community for steps
The hajoona community has been actively supporting the steps Schutzengelkinder with many charity events and campaigns since 2023.
hajoona's ongoing and sustainable commitment includes a €1 donation for every new product subscription, campaigns such as the steps challenge organised by the hajoona back office team or the wheel of fortune campaign at the „Embrace Tomorrow“ stand, additional donations from hajoona GmbH and individual donations from hajoona partners. As a result, a generous five-figure donation sum was achieved within two years of cooperation, which will benefit our guardian angel children.
This year, the supporters visited our education centre in Okakarara on a trip to Namibia to get to know our work, the children and the local staff. If you and your colleagues or team partners are interested in a trip to the steps education centres, please contact us!
Dear hajoona community, thank you for your energy, your creativity and your big hearts. You are an inspiring example of how collective action can give hope.
Bread rush
On World Bread Day, Brotrausch launched a campaign in favour of steps and donated 10% of theirs to steps from every order made on this day. This raised a fantastic three-figure sum, for which we are very grateful!
With this campaign, you have drawn attention to our nutrition campaign and supported bread baking. Your commitment shows how important it is to provide children and young people not only with education, but also with a reliable, nutritious diet.
You have used this day to support our work and set an example for healthy eating. Your initiative combines awareness, community and responsibility in an inspiring way. We thank you very much for this!
Centre Access for steps
We were delighted to once again take part in this year's fundraising campaign as part of the works meeting at Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH's Access Centre in Hanover. The response was overwhelming: during the short presentation by board member Andreas Roß, so many of you donated spontaneously that an impressive four-figure sum was raised within a few minutes.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, your openness and your willingness to support our work. This commitment shows how much we can achieve together.
