The steps office in Hamburg is welcoming a new team member: Student Regina Schmitz began her nearly three-month internship at the steps for children foundation on 20 April. She will briefly introduce herself and her expectations for the internship:
“I am a master’s student in peace and conflict research and decided to do an internship here because the foundation offers me the opportunity to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. But more importantly, I am very interested in development cooperation and can well imagine working professionally in this field later on. I also identify with the vision of steps for children: implementing sustainable projects that can later be continued independently by the villages in Namibia.
Furthermore, I have the opportunity here to gain insights into activities related to fundraising, public relations and communications, which are important and fundamental prerequisites for the work of foundations. I am very much looking forward to many exciting, interesting and new tasks over the next few weeks.”
We say “A warm welcome to the steps office” and wish you a great internship!
