The steps office in Hamburg is being strengthened: student Regina Schmitz began her almost 3-month internship at the steps for children foundation on 20 April. She would best like to briefly introduce herself and her expectations of the internship:
„I am a master’s student in peace and conflict studies and decided to do an internship here because the foundation offers me the opportunity to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. But much more importantly: I am very interested in development cooperation and can well imagine working professionally in this area later on. In addition, I identify with the vision of steps for children to implement sustainable projects that can later be continued independently by the villages in Namibia.
Furthermore, here I have the opportunity to gain insights into activities relating to fundraising, public relations and communication, which are an important and fundamental prerequisite for the work of foundations. I am very much looking forward to many exciting, interesting and new tasks in the coming weeks.“
