A school class on autumnal paths for steps

Our steps children in Namibia have been supported for many years by the successful activities of the „School at the garden city“ supported. These activities are well known to pupils, teachers and parents and are an integral part of everyday school life.

For example, an Africa festival organised by the Class 4d last year raised a considerable three-figure sum for the steps children in Okakarara. The bush café on the school grounds was also very popular, meaning that the profits can be used to generously support the children in Okakarara.

This year, the school came up with one more creative activity: Marita Sauer's class tirelessly collected large quantities of rosehips, apples and mirabelle plums on the school trip. These were turned by Mrs Sauer into delicious jams and sold at the school. Once again, the proud proceeds go to the children in Okakarara.

A huge thank you to all helpers, big and small, bush café drinkers, fruit collectors, jam connoisseurs and facilitators!

Many hands for many happy children in Okakarara. The „Schule an der Gartenstadt“ is closely linked to our project in Namibia. We really appreciate that!
