A school class on autumnal paths for steps

Our steps children in Namibia have been supported for many years by the successful activities of “Schule an der Gartenstadt”. These activities are well known among students, teachers and parents and have become a permanent part of everyday school life.

Last year, an Africa festival held by Class 4d raised a considerable three-figure sum for the steps children in Okakarara. The bush café on the school grounds was also very popular, enabling the children in Okakarara to receive generous support from the proceeds.

This year, the school added another creative activity: during their class trip, Marita Sauer’s class tirelessly collected large quantities of rose hips, apples and mirabelles. Ms Sauer turned these into delicious jams, which were sold at the school. Once again, the impressive proceeds will go to the children in Okakarara.

A huge thank you to all the young and not-so-young helpers and contributors, bush café visitors, fruit collectors, jam enthusiasts and enablers!

Many hands for many happy children in Okakarara. The „Schule an der Gartenstadt“ is closely linked to our project in Namibia. We really appreciate that!
