Christianeum

In changing circumstances, it has always been important to the Christianeum to find a convincing path between tradition and progress. The school's distinctive language profile, with Latin as the first foreign language, trains logical thinking and a feel for language. It is also the traditional foundational language of science. Alongside the classical foreign languages Latin and Greek, modern languages are also offered, such as Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian and English. However, the Christianeum is not a language-focused grammar school; mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, religion and philosophy, as well as the use of the latest digital media, also play an important role. Aesthetic activities – several choirs and orchestras, BrassBand, visual arts and drama – are given particular importance.

At our school, we want to use the opportunity to act responsibly and
learn to take on responsibility.

The Christianeum is one of the oldest schools in Hamburg and has been committed to steps for children for several years. The children and we sincerely thank you for your support!
