October 3 was not only German Unity Day, but also a symbolic day for steps for children. In Stuttgart, Martina Pracht met Ms. Kerstin Thiele, member of the board of the Ernst Prost Foundation for Afrika, on this day, and we expressed our thanks for the wonderful support. In 2016/2017, the Ernst Prost Foundation for Africa provided the following support in Gobabis: covering the salary of a cook, financing meals for 250 children for one year, sponsoring 10 Schutzengel children, and supporting 5 steps homes families.
With great gratitude for these wonderful contributions, we presented Mrs Thiele „symbolically“ with a soup cookbook, a recipe mix and a card from our Schutzengel children.
We are delighted that the Ernst Prost Foundation for Africa has pledged this funding for another year, even increasing its level of support. In doing so, the foundation is making a substantial contribution to the follow-up financing of basic care and sustainable education for children in need in the steps for children projects in the impoverished district of Gobabis.
