A festive inauguration

We are delighted that the school building financed by FLY&HELP was ceremoniously handed over to the headmaster and teachers on 7 June 2019 and entered with a beaming smile. Henk Olwage, head of our partner project Light for the Children was on site for the inauguration together with Peik Bruns.

steps has built over 18 school buildings and soup kitchens in the last 10 years. The increasing number of children in the projects and the increased demand are due to the good reputation of steps for children and its partner projects. Thanks to intensive early childhood education, steps children have a better chance of being accepted into a good school than children from other pre-school centres. And the more children are admitted, the more space is required for the children's education. However, the expansion of educational projects not only requires more space, it also creates more jobs for cooks, educators and teachers. By constructing new buildings or adapting existing ones, steps makes a sustainable contribution to strengthening the order situation and thus the Namibian economy.

A big THANK YOU goes to the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP for their extensive support of the construction project of steps for children and Light for the Children in Gobabis!
