A footprint that lasts

Two young people travelled from Germany to Namibia straight after graduating from high school - one of them from a small village, the other from a bustling city. For a year, they lived together under the roof of a round house in a very simple environment, together with two local families whose culture they did not know. As soon as they arrived in Gobabis, they started working at steps for children/Light for the Children and had to find their way into the team, the new culture and the foreign language.

They coped wonderfully and the days, weeks and months in the project enriched not only the two of them, but also the team, of which they became an integral part: „Hannah and Lasse caught the rhythm of daily activities and also got to supplement each other really well. By the time they left, the Gobabis steps + Light teams found it hard to let them go! They left a wonderfully positive footprint!“

A big THANK YOU for your empathy and commitment, Hannah and Lasse, and good luck on your future journey!
