A new climbing frame for Okakarara

[:en]

Kevin Bakirtzis is currently completing a voluntary social year (FSJ) in our project in Okakarara. However, the school-leaver is not only lending a hand on site, but is also collecting donations from Germany with the help of his family, which are then used, for example, to renovate the climbing frame.

The old climbing frame was badly in need of renovation due to weathering. It has been rebuilt at the new sports field at Okakarara Secondary School (OSS), where it can still be used, though not as much, in a slightly repaired condition. For nursery, kindergarten and preschool children, Kevin has donated a new frame made from recycled plastic, which has now been installed.

The steps team would like to thank Kevin and all his supporters warmly for this wonderful commitment

On Kevin’s website there is more information about his FSJ and a video of the construction of the new climbing frame.
