Andreas Thümmler has been a supporter and fundraiser for steps for children since 2006. From the very beginning, he supported Dr. Hoppe's efforts to build up the foundation. He drew the attention of numerous internet entrepreneurs and founders from the tech scene to the project in Okakarara and won over major donors. Andreas has an extensive network in German-speaking countries. His former company Corporate Finance Partners sponsored office space in Hamburg for steps for children for a long time, and as managing director and owner of St. Kilian Distillers, Germany's largest whisky distillery, he continues to support the foundation's projects in Namibia both ideationally and financially.
