Since 2016, the foundation has been supporting our „Light for the Children“ cooperation project in Gobabis by providing pro rata funding for the soup kitchen, a cook and guardian angel children and orphans in foster families, our steps homes. The Block Foundation was established in 2017 by Hamburg restaurateur and hotelier Eugen Block. The foundation has set itself the goal of promoting catering management training in the form of an educational institution in Hamburg, enabling healthier nutrition through animal welfare and species-appropriate husbandry and helping people in need. The foundation also promotes education and vocational training in Africa. Since 2019
