Word has spread in Namibia: children who attend preschool in our project are given preference for admission to state schools. 
As a result, more and more children from the surrounding impoverished settlements are seeking out our social projects. Naturally, this also means that parents in Gobabis are increasingly aware of how important education is for their children, and they are already queuing two days before the government school office opens. Early childhood education gives the children a great chance of following a stable educational path.

In order to include as many children as possible in the educational projects of our partner project “Light for the Children” and to ensure teaching in suitable rooms, there was a great need for additional classrooms. Therefore, the steps for children Foundation decided to construct a new building with two classrooms. Thanks to the repeated generous support of the Reiner Meutsch FLY & HELP Foundation, construction is well under way, as can be seen in the pictures.
