As early as 1975, the founders of Croque & Crepes The North German variation of the French „croque“, known far beyond the borders of Hamburg, was invented by the same people. Inspired by a holiday in France, the classic gratinated toast was combined with the country's typical baguette and the result was a symbiosis, the Hamburg croque.

They are still committed to this founding story today, so that almost 40 years later the classic is still served fresh from the oven every day.
