As early as 1975, the founders of Croque & Crepes invented the Northern German variation of the French “Croque”, known far beyond the borders of Hamburg. Inspired by a holiday in France, classic gratinated toast was combined with the baguette typical of the country, resulting in a symbiosis: the Hamburg Croque.

To this founding story, they still feel committed today, which is why the classic has continued to be served fresh from the oven every day, even almost 40 years later.
