Yvonne Tjongarero has been working as a nursery teacher at the steps for children kindergarten in Okakarara since 2017. Her heart belongs to the girls and boys, some of whom come to steps while still of nursery age. With lots of patience and warmth, she supports their child-friendly development, their curiosity and their natural urge to acquire skills and knowledge. Yvonne is convinced by the steps concept and appreciates the creative exchange with her colleagues.

But it is not only the community for which she feels the work of steps for children is very valuable; the opportunity to continue her personal development also inspires her: To provide the best possible support for the children, she is attending the Headstart Montessori Teacher Training Collage for three years, where she is taught Montessori pedagogy in the field of early childhood education and preschool.
