Education makes you strong!

Yvonne Tjongarero has been working as a nursery teacher at the steps for children kindergarten in Okakarara since 2017. Her heart belongs to the girls and boys, some of whom come to steps while still of nursery age. With lots of patience and warmth, she supports their child-friendly development, their curiosity and their natural urge to acquire skills and knowledge. Yvonne is convinced by the steps concept and appreciates the creative exchange with her colleagues.

But she considers the work of steps for children to be very valuable not only for the community; she is also enthusiastic about the opportunity to further her own education: To support the children in the best possible way, she attends the Headstart Montessori Teacher Training Collage for three years, where she is taught Montessori pedagogy in the field of early childhood education and preschool.

Thank you very much, Yvonne, for your dedicated commitment at steps!

Hear from Yvonne personally what her teaching is like and what fascinates her most about her work:

steps' loving and appreciative care is particularly important during the formative period between the ages of 3 and 5 and forms the foundation for further development.
